DEPARTMENT OF PG STUDIES IN SWASTHAVRITTA

Yoga training Programme was conducted from may 22nd 2019 to may 31st 2019 for all Post graduate students and faculties of GAMC Mysuru. Yoga instructor - Nachiketh 

 On 31/05/2019 a guest lecture was organised for PG and UG students of GAMC Mysuru on the topic  “current scenario of tobacco usage and health effects” Guest speaker : Dr Nischal Raj L                           Consultant surgical oncologist                           Suyog hospital , Mysuru.

On behalf of 'World no tobacco day' Rally and Street play were performed by the students of GAMC Mysuru to bring awareness among the general public. This event was organised by  Department of Swasthavritta in association with NSS unit GAMC Mysuru on 30/05/2019. Guest – Dr Radhamani               Superintendent, Cheluvamba hospital , Mysuru

1. Yoga competition for UG       On 23.03.19 Yoga competition was conducted for 3rd year undergraduate students after the completion of their one month of yoga training  . Public awareness talk by Dr. Praveen kumar , Associate professor  on the topic  "Preventive aspects of Lifestyle Diseases with Dinacharya Date: 22/05/19   Place: Rachappaji Nagar, Kollegala, Chamarajanagar

Artistic and flow Yoga  training was organised for High school children from  02-05-2019 to 22-05-2019 in GAMC Mysuru.

             A  Guest lecture on “Palliative care” was organised by department of swasthavritta on 21/5/2019. Dr.Gajana Hegde , Principal GAMC Mysuru inaugurated new Swasthavritta OPD. Swasthavitta faculties Dr.Venkata krishna K.V, Dr Rekha B V , Dr. Praveen Kumar and Dr.Asha S A were present in this programme.

Paper presentations from our Assistant Professor Dr,Asha S A and all 5 Post graduates in   9 TH  INTERNATIONAL NUTRITIONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL MEDICINE CONFERENCE. Place: Hotel-Rio Meridian, Mysuru Date:   5 th ,6 th , 7 th April 2019 .
