Preparations for IDY-23 (17/6/23)

As a preparation of International Day of Yoga 2023 and mass publicity, Rehearsal sessions were arranged at Kote anjaneya Temple, Mysuru Palace on 17/6/23 at 6 AM. Both UG and PG students and faculties attended the session and performed CYP.

Group Yoga Performace

The Post graduate students of Dept. of Swasthavritta performed Yoga Dance in the inaugration function of Yogathan to motivate public to practice Yoga.

All the 150 students and teaching faculties  participated in the Yogathan, and walked a distance of 2.5Km from Mysuru palace to Kukkaralli lake, passing through important streets and roads of Mysuru city to create awareness among general public to participate in IDY 23

 On January 5, 2025 An Ayurvedic medical camp was inaugurated in Alagudu village, Narasipura taluka, amidst a ceremonial lamp lighting, marking the beginning of a holistic healthcare initiative. The camp, arranged by Arogya Bharati, was formally launched by lighting the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of health and wellness in the community. A team of doctors from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College, provided free consultations, check-ups, and treatments for various ailments, focusing on preventive care and self-management. As many as 135 villagers benefited from the camp's emphasis on holistic wellness, receiving guidance on diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic remedies. One paper presentation and Two poster presentations were done at GAF-2023,  Date- December 1-5, 2023 Place- Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Dr. Lakshmipriya S presented a paper titled " Role of Ayurveda in the Management of Contagious Diseases" Dr. Janani Presented a poster on the "Implementation of Ayurveda in Public Health" Dr. Anusha Presented a poster on "An Insight into the Role of Garbhini and Sutika Paricharya in Postpartum Depression and its Importance on Epigenetics"

Health Camp at Maddur ( 15/12/2024 )

 As a routine health care checkup and also to create awareness among Village people - Health camp was organised at Maddur village near Hunsuru by Arogya Bharati in association with Government Ayurveda Medical College Mysuru. Around 1000 houses were informed about the camp and it yielded around 100 members for the health checkup. Swasthavritta PG Scholars Dr. Janani D Rao, Dr. pankaja, Dr. Rahul attended the camp. Ayurvedic medical services and diet lifestyle advice was provided to the people. Necessary people were guided to consult the hospital and visit for followup. Routine BP monitoring as well as Random blood checkup was done by Suyog hospital team which accompanied the camp. There was also Blood group indentification camp and eye checkup camp organised simultaneously.
