DEPARTMENT OF PG STUDIES IN SWASTHAVRITTA AND YOGA GAMC MYSURU

 On 27/09/2024, Therapeutic yoga camp at Havyaka bhavana bogadi , mysuru for SPYSS yoga students was organised by Swasthavritta department - Government Ayurveda Medical College and hospital as a part of community outreach . The program focused on the prevention and diseases control particularly that of lifestyle disorders like Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Hypothyroidism, Harmonal imbalances and PCOD, Cardiac ailments etc.  Dr Jyothi S Murthy , Medical officer , GAMC&H addressed the gathering related to dinacharya , ahara nidra and brahmacharya .  Later on  Dr Yashaswini and Dr Pavana demonstrated Certain Yogasana and informed about the particular yogaasana indication and contraindication Total 40 people took the benefits of the camp .

 On 21/09/2024, on behalf of poshan abhyan there was a health talk organised by Arogya bharathi at Sriram Vidya Samsthe school, Ilavala Mysuru. Dr. Aishwarya and Dr. Anusha, final year PG Scholars were the resource persons. Children took the benifit of health talk. It was an interactive and informative session.

  Dr Pavana Bhat secured the best oral paper presentation among 120 presentations on 21st sept - Ayurpharmacon 2024, National seminar conducted by JSS Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital along with JSS College of Pharmacy. Paper title : Integration of Nutraceticals and Ayurveda Pathya Kalpana : PAYASA AS VRUSHYA DRAVYA 

.   AYURPHARMACON 2024, A national level conference on herbo-mineral drugs and pharmaceutical research was organised by JSS Ayurveda Medical College and hospital & JSS College of Pharmacy on September 21st 2024. The PG Scholars from department of Swasthavritta and Yoga , GAMC Mysuru took active participation as delegates and have also presented Scientific Paper on respective topics: 1. Dr. Hitha M K : " Revolutionizing military Medicine : The potential of Nanocellopathy in the Indian Armed Forces" 2. Dr. Janani D Rao : " Bridging tradition and innovation: the contemporary relevance of Hima kalpana " 3. Dr. Noorul Hadiya : " Unlocking the potential of Dinacharya through Abhyanga and Lepa as Ayurvedic cosmeceuticals" 4. Dr. Pankaja : " Ritu based mukhalepa : Ayurvedic cosmetics for seasonally balanced skin "  5. Dr. Pavana Bhat : " Integrating Nutraceticals and Ayurvedic Pathya kalpana: PAYASA AS A VRUSHYA DRAVYA "

  Department of PG studies in Panchakarma had organised PANCHAKARMA SOUJNAPANE - 3, A CME Programme on physio-pathalogical aspects of Respiratory and Cardiovascular system on 19/9/2024 & 20/9/2024 in Government Ayurveda Medical College Mysuru. Dr. Pankaj Kevishwar sir guided the scholars on the various aspects of physiology, comparision with other worldly examples, pathological conditions, their crucial examination, basics of ECG etc.  All the Postgraduate scholars of Swasthavritha department attended the CME and took active part in it .

 On 11/09/2024 a medical camp was organised on behalf of Forest department Matryal day. The camp mainly focused on a prevention aspect of diseases. There were arround 100-120 beneficiaries. Regular BP monitoring , weight monitoring and Blood routine were done. Staff having lifestyle disorders like Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity, PCOD, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Amlapitta were given diet and lifestyle advices.

 Dr Hitha M K , 2nd year PG Scholar, department of swasthavritta and yoga Mysuru participated in e-poster making competion on the occasion of Charaka Jayanti 2024, CHARAKA SMRITI organised by Dept of Samhita Samskrita and Siddhanta Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram.
