A guest lecture and workshop was conducted on Nutrition and Dietetics and meal planning and calorie calculating by Dr. Jyothi M. Senior MO of GAMC Mysuru.
As a routine health care checkup and also to create awareness among Village people - Health camp was organised at Maddur village near Hunsuru by Arogya Bharati in association with Government Ayurveda Medical College Mysuru. Around 1000 houses were informed about the camp and it yielded around 100 members for the health checkup. Swasthavritta PG Scholars Dr. Janani D Rao, Dr. pankaja, Dr. Rahul attended the camp. Ayurvedic medical services and diet lifestyle advice was provided to the people. Necessary people were guided to consult the hospital and visit for followup. Routine BP monitoring as well as Random blood checkup was done by Suyog hospital team which accompanied the camp. There was also Blood group indentification camp and eye checkup camp organised simultaneously.
On January 5, 2025 An Ayurvedic medical camp was inaugurated in Alagudu village, Narasipura taluka, amidst a ceremonial lamp lighting, marking the beginning of a holistic healthcare initiative. The camp, arranged by Arogya Bharati, was formally launched by lighting the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of health and wellness in the community. A team of doctors from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College, provided free consultations, check-ups, and treatments for various ailments, focusing on preventive care and self-management. As many as 135 villagers benefited from the camp's emphasis on holistic wellness, receiving guidance on diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic remedies. The camp also distributed free medicines and conducted health awareness sessions, empowering the community to adopt healthier habits and improve their overall well-being. Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga organized Yoga training session at Central Jail, Mysuru on the occasion of 10 th International Day of Yoga on 12-06-2024 at 7.30AM to 8.30 AM. The program was held under the leadership of Dr. K.S. Radhakrishna Ramarao, Sri. P. Mahadev Nayka, and Dr. Venkatakrishna K.V. PG scholars of Department of Swathavritta and Yoga along with Yoga trainers Ms. Kanchanaganga, Mrs. Prabha Satish graced the event with their Yoga demonstration. Yoga at Central Jail : A special session of yoga practice was taken up in the jail premises. Yoga aids in building up the positivity of mind , marching towards the aims of life. Regular practice of Yoga brings out a better form of us. 7.30 AM to 8.30 AM Yoga awareness was created at central jail. Prsoners were taught the importance of yoga to maintain physical, mental and emotional health. Yogabhyasa was done to maintain general physical health and mental health.
