PROGRAMS: Practice of Common Yoga Protocol, Witnessing live streaming of PM Sri Narenda Modi’s speech on IDY 2025 from Vishakhapatnam, Andrapradesh.


DETAILS OF THE PROGRAMME :

On 21/06/2025, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga, Government Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital have participated in the official programme of “11th International Day of Yoga 2025" organized by District Administration of Mysuru at Mysuru Palace. Programme was scheduled to start at 06.30am with Shankha Nada and Common Yoga Protocol was practiced for duration of 1 hour. A live streaming was arranged to witness the IDY 2025 Programme held at Vishakhapatna, Andhrapradesh where Honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi have addressed the nation regarding the importance of celebrating Yoga Day. About 500 beneficiaries including Undergraduate & Postgraduate students, faculties, Heads of the Departments and the Principal of Government Ayurveda Medical College have actively participated in Yoga Sangama Programme.

 On January 5, 2025 An Ayurvedic medical camp was inaugurated in Alagudu village, Narasipura taluka, amidst a ceremonial lamp lighting, marking the beginning of a holistic healthcare initiative. The camp, arranged by Arogya Bharati, was formally launched by lighting the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of health and wellness in the community. A team of doctors from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College, provided free consultations, check-ups, and treatments for various ailments, focusing on preventive care and self-management. As many as 135 villagers benefited from the camp's emphasis on holistic wellness, receiving guidance on diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic remedies. The camp also distributed free medicines and conducted health awareness sessions, empowering the community to adopt healthier habits and improve their overall well-being.   A special Yoga Awareness and Training Program to Tribal Community at Hanagod Shettalli, Hunsur, Mysuru Yoga Awareness Health Talk :  The program was held at at maharshi Valmiki Girijana Ashrama School, Hanagod Shettalli, Hunsur, Mysore Yogabhyasa :    Yoga Training Camp was conducted to Tribal community and children of Girijana School, Kolavige Haadi, Hunsur. Common Yoga protocol was performed and Children were taught the steps of each asanas and pranayama. All the children learnt the Yoga with interest and enthusiasm Yoga Dance :  Yoga dance was performed by UG and PG students to create awareness among school children about creatively practicng Yoga.

Health Camp at Maddur ( 15/12/2024 )

 As a routine health care checkup and also to create awareness among Village people - Health camp was organised at Maddur village near Hunsuru by Arogya Bharati in association with Government Ayurveda Medical College Mysuru. Around 1000 houses were informed about the camp and it yielded around 100 members for the health checkup. Swasthavritta PG Scholars Dr. Janani D Rao, Dr. pankaja, Dr. Rahul attended the camp. Ayurvedic medical services and diet lifestyle advice was provided to the people. Necessary people were guided to consult the hospital and visit for followup. Routine BP monitoring as well as Random blood checkup was done by Suyog hospital team which accompanied the camp. There was also Blood group indentification camp and eye checkup camp organised simultaneously.
