International conference on Ayurveda and integrative approaches to obesity and metabolic syndrome

 CARI, Bengaluru, in association with the CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, organised an international conference on Ayurveda and integrative approaches to obesity and metabolic syndrome on 1st and 2nd December 2025. The conference featured paper presentations, in which PG scholars from the Department of Swasthavritta actively participated. The participants from the department included Dr Ankitha, Dr. Noorul Hadiya, Dr Pankaja, Dr Lakshmipriya, and Dr Rahul Singh.

Dr Rahul Singh and Dr Noorul Hadiya got the best paper awards

  A special Yoga Awareness and Training Program to Tribal Community at Hanagod Shettalli, Hunsur, Mysuru Yoga Awareness Health Talk :  The program was held at at maharshi Valmiki Girijana Ashrama School, Hanagod Shettalli, Hunsur, Mysore Yogabhyasa :    Yoga Training Camp was conducted to Tribal community and children of Girijana School, Kolavige Haadi, Hunsur. Common Yoga protocol was performed and Children were taught the steps of each asanas and pranayama. All the children learnt the Yoga with interest and enthusiasm Yoga Dance :  Yoga dance was performed by UG and PG students to create awareness among school children about creatively practicng Yoga.

  Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga organized Yoga training session at Central Jail, Mysuru on the occasion of 10 th International Day of Yoga on 12-06-2024 at 7.30AM to 8.30 AM. The program was held under the leadership of Dr. K.S. Radhakrishna Ramarao, Sri. P. Mahadev Nayka, and Dr. Venkatakrishna K.V. PG scholars of Department of Swathavritta and Yoga along with Yoga trainers Ms. Kanchanaganga, Mrs. Prabha Satish graced the event with their Yoga demonstration. Yoga at Central Jail :  A special session of yoga practice was taken up in the jail premises. Yoga aids in building up the positivity of mind , marching towards the aims of life. Regular practice of Yoga brings out a better form of us.  7.30 AM to 8.30 AM Yoga awareness was created at central jail. Prsoners were taught the importance of yoga to maintain physical, mental and emotional health. Yogabhyasa was done to maintain general physical health and mental health.
