FRT Program- 2025

 On 22nd and 23rd December 2025, a First Responder Training Program was successfully conducted for the benefit of students and faculty. The two-day training program focused on equipping participants with essential emergency response skills, including basic life support, first aid techniques, and effective crisis management.

All postgraduate scholars from the department actively attended and participated in the training sessions. The program provided valuable hands-on experience and enhanced their preparedness to respond confidently and efficiently in emergency situations.

The training proved to be highly informative and practical, strengthening the participants’ sense of responsibility and readiness to serve the community in times of need.

School health camp 2025

 On 24/12/2025 there was school health camp organised by Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Mysuru in association with Arogya Bharati at Government School, kukkerahallikere. The final year PG scholars of Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga participated in the camp. Dr Shanta advised the gathering about importance of health promotion and disease prevention in school going children. Highlight was given to the simpler precautionary measures like dietary modifications, physical activities etc.  About 120 children were screened for the health status. Height and weight were examined to analyse the nutritional status and growth appropriatness to the age. The children requiring medical attention were informed to contact the respective speciality through a medical slip distribution.

YOGA NISCHAYA 12-06-2024

  Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga organized Yoga training session at Central Jail, Mysuru on the occasion of 10 th International Day of Yoga on 12-06-2024 at 7.30AM to 8.30 AM. The program was held under the leadership of Dr. K.S. Radhakrishna Ramarao, Sri. P. Mahadev Nayka, and Dr. Venkatakrishna K.V. PG scholars of Department of Swathavritta and Yoga along with Yoga trainers Ms. Kanchanaganga, Mrs. Prabha Satish graced the event with their Yoga demonstration. Yoga at Central Jail :  A special session of yoga practice was taken up in the jail premises. Yoga aids in building up the positivity of mind , marching towards the aims of life. Regular practice of Yoga brings out a better form of us.  7.30 AM to 8.30 AM Yoga awareness was created at central jail. Prsoners were taught the importance of yoga to maintain physical, mental and emotional health. Yogabhyasa was done to maintain general physical health and mental health.
